sound baths

Sound baths are a gentle, immersive experience designed to support deep relaxation and nervous system regulation. Using instruments such as crystal singing bowls, chimes and other resonant tones, sound helps guide the brain from alert, stress-oriented brainwave states into calmer states commonly associated with relaxation and rest, allowing the body and mind to settle.

Because the body is largely made up of water, sound and vibration are felt not just through the ears, but throughout the body. Many people experience a slowing of breath, a quieting of the mind and a greater sense of ease during and after a session.

Sound baths don’t require effort or focus —you simply rest and receive.

different brain waves + benefits

BETA STATE

The state we’re predominantly in when we’re awake, supporting focus, learning, and decision-making. However, extended periods of heightened Beta are commonly associated with stress, worry and mental tension and may contribute to difficulty relaxing or falling asleep.

ALPHA STATE

The state we often enter during meditation, gentle focus or creative flow. This state is  linked with calm, clarity and a sense of balance between effort and ease. Many people find it easier to access creativity.

THETA STATE

The state associated with deeper relaxation and inward focus. Theta brainwaves are often linked with imagination, insight, and access to less conscious though patterns. As the nervous system settles, people experience dreamlike imagery, creative ideas or a sense of drifting or floating.

delta STATE

The slowest brainwave state that occurs during the deepest stages of rest and sleep. This state is associated with restoration, renewal, and the body’s natural recovery processes.  Delta states are linked with physical recovery and deep rest, supporting overall well-being and resilience.

what a session looks like

A sound session typically begins with a brief centering or grounding moment. You’ll then find a comfortable position as the sounds unfold around you, supporting a gradual shift into deeper relaxation.

Sessions close gently, with space to reorient and reflect if desired.

Each session is held in a calm, supportive environment and guided with sensitivity to pacing, volume, and nervous system comfort.

Private and couples sound baths can be held at my home studio or at the comfort of your own home. Group sound baths can take place at indoor or outdoor venues or studios.
